What is rosca de reyes?

Rosca de Reyes, also known as King's Cake, is a traditional sweet bread that is popular in Spain and Latin American countries. It is typically eaten on the Christian holiday of Epiphany, which is celebrated on January 6th.

The bread is shaped like a ring or wreath and is decorated with candied fruits and sometimes nuts. Hidden inside the bread is a small figurine representing the baby Jesus, and whoever finds the figurine in their slice of bread is said to have good luck and is responsible for hosting a party on February 2nd, known as the Day of the Candles.

Rosca de Reyes is often served with hot chocolate or coffee and is enjoyed with family and friends. It is a symbol of the Epiphany and the arrival of the Three Wise Men to visit the baby Jesus.
